(Drowning)The Nye County Sheriff Office has issued an official press release, the victim of Saturday 's drowning on Rhyolite Street has passed away. (Adam Blanchard) The NCS office has issued a press release. 27 year old Texas Native Adam Blanchard has been located. According to the press release his remains were found in the Barley Creek area in northern Nevada. It appears he suffered a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. NCS searched the area where the missing person's vehicle was located earlier this year. Search and Rescue as well as NCS discovered the camouflaged clothed human remains of an unknown person resting against a tree. Next to the deceased was a backpack. During an inventory of the backpack a Texas driver's license was found belonging to Adam Blanchard. Due to heavy snow fall it made the search difficult to continue until now. The body was sent to the Washoe County Coroner's Office In Reno Nevada. The family thanked all of the Nye County Sheriff's Office and Search and Rescue for their persistence to locate Adam Blanchard and help them cope with their loss. Adam Blanchard was last seen in Texas on January 29, 2011.
(Fireworks Safety) The Consumer Protection Safety Commission warned the public regarding homemade and illegal fireworks with some true-to-life demonstrations which show potential for injury and death.

KPVM spoke to District Attorney Brian Kunzi who informed us of the county code regarding fireworks. In the town of Pahrump there is no ordinance regarding fireworks, according to our District attorney, the county code regulates our laws regarding fireworks. Consumer grade fireworks below 1.4g category are not considered a firework. They are not defined as a explosive device. These are the novelty type fireworks: Example sparklers, they are below 50 milligrams of explosive material. According to the Nye County Sheriff no fireworks are allowed within the town of Pahrump. We will have more on tomorrow night's news cast. (Discuss the difference between county and town.)
