First, we take a look at some Supra Shoes- http://www.www.suprafootwear.com -namely some leather and canvas Muska Skytops and some Terry Kennedy Society Satin Tuf models. We take a close look at the shoes, and for anyone that hasn't seen these in person, I put 'em up next to a bunch of other shoes so you can see just how high these things are.

After that, geek time again... I've talked to a number of homies that weren't clear on the difference between vulcanized sole shoes versus cupsoles. Basically, vulcs are made in part by a chemical process, while cups are more of a mechanical process.

This vid was recorded (tapeless, high speed SD memory) with a Canon Vixia HF40, using some regular long lens shots, some .43 widescreens, and some .3x baby death off to be edited in Premiere CS 5 on both a Mac and PC.

I usually prefer the HDV format, but the weather and constant use seems to kill the CMOS chips... I'm hoping that the more enclosed nature of the new camera (which has been used on the channel, albeit mixed with other footage, aside from the A.Skate plea video). It's weird not capturing with a firewire cable, and the lack of tape was something to get used to. I just like tape, but the camera has been fun to work with. I'll be using it in different ways on another channel soon (mostly non skate related).

If you made it this far, then I'll share a little secret with you. I made an intentionally ridiculous entry to this year's Slap One In A Million (OIAM) contest... when I say ridiculous, I mean just that. I only used You Tube footage that I still had laying around, and abiding by the contest rules (one minute of skating, one minute of talking), I managed to fit 46 tricks into the first minute... and like the first 7 are on a curb! hehe. I did the second minute in the most ridiculous manner possible. Hope you get a laugh. Peace and thanks for all of the cool discussions, homies, questions, hype, and getting where I'm coming from. I love skateboarding, and I hope you feel that love yourselves. It's the best shit.
